There are a few patterns, outfits and colours fashion places in our laps which are not really streetwise or suit many women – afterall we are talking of us flawed beings victims of varicose veins, cellulite, obesity, etc. So would you wear - Harem Pants? Be they pain cotton, sheer silks and chiffons knit or whatever other material they look great on those tall lanky models. But on most women it adds volume to the silhouette making them look shorter and bulkier.

Overalls? Most fashion run ways show this in a modified manner – the designers experiment with all kinds of materials on these ‘jumpsuits’ but are they overalls afterall. Not as practical as our dearest a denim jeans.

Matching hues of scarf & outfit look sophisticated on neutral colors like beige, black, camel, blue, etc if one mixes the fabrics well – selfprint stripes, metallics and plains, monochromes can look very classy. You could get the look by taking a long scarf in front of you, twist it in the centre. Then toss its ends over both the shoulders then bring the two ends forward over the other shoulder and leaving it hanging. Use a nice fulffy scarf for the skinny ones are meant for fitting jackets & tops.

As we are at colors a mix of sedate colors with a flash of color can add life to one’s dressing, especially in winters. Do get those woolen, blends, cashmere and knit long fringed scarves out and wrap one close to your neck. But please avoid tying huge scarves into knots at the neck. Instead just drape it on one or both the shoulders. For the knots there are appropriate knotted scarves.
